Poverty is not a fruit of the Spirit.
We have allowed a religious spirit to convince us that lack is a sign of holiness. We have romanticized the struggle and demonized the resource. But look at the Garden of Eden. God did not place Adam and Eve in a desert to test their character through starvation. He placed them in a lush garden filled with gold and abundance.
Prosperity is a Kingdom assignment because you cannot fund the Great Commission with good intentions. Silver and gold belong to God. When they sit in the hands of the wicked, they fund darkness. When they sit in the hands of the righteous, they fund the light.
The Hypocrisy of Restricted Faith
Many believers pray for provision while simultaneously rejecting prosperity. This is a double-minded trap that stops the flow of the Spirit in your life. You cannot ask God to pay your rent and then get angry when He gives someone else the ability to buy the building.
Religious tradition has made prosperity a dirty word. It has taught you that being "humble" means being broke. But there is nothing humble about being unable to help a widow in need or finance a missionary. Proverbs 10:22 "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it."
When you reject the idea of prosperity, you are rejecting the mechanism God uses to advance His cause on earth. You are effectively saying you want the God of the harvest but you refuse to manage the barn. That mindset is not spiritual. It is lazy.
Money as a Spiritual Tool
Money is a neutral resource that takes on the nature of its master. If a greedy man holds it, that money becomes a weapon for selfishness. If a Kingdom-minded believer holds it, it becomes a tool for redemption. That is why the Bible warns about the love of money, not the presence of it.
The Church has spent too much time focusing on the root of greed and not enough time focusing on the root of stewardship. Greedy people use people to get money. Prosperity-minded believers use money to love people. These are two different kingdoms.
True prosperity is having the resources necessary to complete your God-given calling. 2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." Grace is not just for your sins. It is for your bank account.
The Abrahamic Covenant Today
You are not an orphan trying to beg a distant Father for a handout. You are an heir to a covenant that started with Abraham and was sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ. That covenant includes the power to produce wealth.
The world treats success as a result of luck or grinding. The Kingdom treats prosperity as a result of obedience to the Word. When God told Abraham he would be a blessing to the nations, He was giving him a global mandate. You cannot be a blessing to the nations if you are in bondage to your own debt.
Galatians 3:14 "that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." You have been grafted into this blessing. It is your spiritual DNA to flourish. If you are not flourishing, you must ask what belief system is blocking the inheritance.

Wealth Without Wisdom is Bondage
God does not just want you to have money. He wants you to have the character to keep it. Many people crave the blessing but they are unwilling to submit to the process of being pruned. Wealth without wisdom is a curse that will destroy your family and your soul.
This is why money follows purpose, not the other way around. If you chase the money, you will lose your way in the woods of greed. But if you chase your God-given calling, the resources will find you because they are required for the mission.
God is looking for partners, not consumers. He wants to know if He can trust you with a little so He can give you much. Stewardship is the test of your authority. If you cannot manage the small things He has given you now, you are not ready for the abundance He has prepared for you later.
The Law of Sowing and Speaking
Your words are the steering wheel of your life. If you spend your days speaking about how broke you are, you are prophesying your own poverty. You are building a mental prison and then wondering why you feel trapped.
The Spirit of God works through the words of your mouth. You must align your speech with the promises of God. Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Start speaking life over your finances and your calling.
Sowing is the physical act that breaks the back of greed. Tithing is not a tax. It is a covenantal reset that acknowledges God as the source of everything you own. When you sow into the Kingdom, you are telling heaven that you are a reliable conduit for the miraculous.
Your prosperity is for the Kingdom.
