Obsession with darkness is a spiritual death trap.
I know what many of you are thinking. You want the details, the names, and the graphic evidence contained in the millions of pages released by the DOJ. Since the Epstein Files Transparency Act went live in early 2026, the internet has become a digital graveyard of leaked videos and horrific testimonies.
But I have intentionally stayed away from the deep dive. I have not felt the peace of the Lord to go into the weeds of this darkness. There is a massive difference between being informed and being consumed.
The Cost of the Deep Dive
The DOJ dump includes over 3 million pages and 2,000 videos documenting a decades-long sex trafficking network. It is the stuff of nightmares. When you immerse your mind in the graphic documentation of such extreme evil, you are not just "doing research."
You are exposing your soul to a frequency that is designed to desensitize you. The human mind was not built to process that much lawlessness and trauma without a filter. Matthew 6:22–23 says, "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness."
If your eye focuses on the abyss, the abyss begins to fill your heart. You might think you are staying "awake," but you are actually becoming numb. You lose your capacity for genuine compassion because you have replaced it with a morbid curiosity that can never be satisfied.
Vengeance Belongs to the Lord
It is incredibly frustrating to see the lack of consequences in the U.S. legal system. Despite the mountains of evidence, major indictments seem stalled while the world watches powerful figures continue to walk free. This creates a hunger for vigilante justice or a spirit of bitterness.
But your anger is not the thing that will bring true justice. Psalm 37:1–2 tells us, "Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb."
God is the ultimate Judge. He sees every hidden room and every sealed document mentioned in Hebrews 4:13, which reminds us that "all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." Taking on the burden of seeking vengeance will only crush your spirit. Trust that the Father will balance the scales in His timing.
The Predictable Decay of Godless Systems
What we are seeing in these files is not a glitch in the system. It is the natural conclusion of a world that has rejected the Creator. When a society abandons God, the systems within that society predictably devolve into the approval of evil.
The Apostle Paul explained this cycle clearly in Romans 1:28, stating, "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting." When humans stop worshipping God, they start acting like demons.
One of the most chilling files released involves Epstein mocking a victim’s Christian faith. This wasn't just a crime of the flesh; it was a targeted, demonic assault on the image of God. This is an ancient war, and the figures involved are merely pawns for a much darker spiritual principality.
Spiritual Sharpness Over Information
We are living in an era where information is infinite but discernment is rare. You do not need more details about the darkness to increase your light. You need spiritual sharpness.
In Matthew 24:12, Jesus warns that in the last days, "because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." Constant exposure to the lawlessness of the Epstein files will freeze your heart if you aren't careful. You will stop seeing people as souls and start seeing them as data points in a conspiracy.
Instead of scrolling through the 180,000 images, you should be seeking the presence of God. Philippians 4:8 instructs us to meditate on things that are true, noble, just, pure, and lovely. This is not "toxic positivity"; it is a strategic defense for your mind in the midst of spiritual warfare.
How to Guard Your Soul
The solution is not to bury your head in the sand. It is to limit your exposure and maximize your intercession. We need to pray specifically for the survivors who are reliving this trauma, including the family of Virginia, who we lost to suicide last year.
Submit your mind to God and resist the devil as instructed in James 4:7. If you feel the urge to "doom scroll" through the files, recognize it as a spiritual distraction. The enemy would love for you to be so obsessed with his works that you forget to do the works of the Kingdom.
The exposure of this lawlessness should not make you fearful. It should increase your urgency. The return of Christ is the only thing that will fully uproot this evil once and for all.
